    The new Turtle Island Project is a non-profit located along Lake Superior in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. The Turetle Island project promotes respect for the culture and heritage of Indigenous Peoples - who among other things - have a lot to teach about protecting the environment. The Turtle Island Project has scheduled a series of free national and regional conferences. On the the Thursdays prior to each conference (7 p.m. ET) a Native American roudtable will be held and the agenda will be set soiley by First Nations and indigenous peoples. The schedule and details can be found on our website. Please contact the Turtle Island Project to help form agendas and all suggestions are welcome. The Turtle Island Project fights poverty, racism, teen suicide, domestic violence and sexual assault and other social ills.
